Bedtime Yoga for Kids: A Poem for Peaceful Sleep

As the sun dips low, and the stars shine bright,
It’s time for a journey, a calming goodnight.
With gentle breaths and a playful pose,
Let’s flow into peace, where the night softly glows.

In the quiet of twilight, find a comfy spot,
Gather your teddy, let go of the thoughts.
With a whisper of stillness, let your worries cease,
We’ll stretch like the clouds, and invite in the peace.

Breathe in the moonlight, so cool and serene,
As we close our eyes and begin to dream.
Inhale the calm, let it fill up your chest,
Exhale the day, let your heart find its rest.

Now reach for the stars, like a tall, swaying tree,
Stand strong on your mat, as grounded as can be.
With arms open wide, like branches in the air,
Feel the soft breeze of sleep, dance gently in your hair.

Breathe in the kindness, let love fill your core,
Exhale the giggles, and all wanting more.
Each tender breath is a gift from above,
Embracing the stillness, wrapped up in love.

Let’s wiggle our toes, and roll our soft heads,
Like a sleepy little kitten, snuggled up in its bed.
A butterfly flutters, with wings made of dreams,
As we lie on our tummies, let’s float down the streams.

Breathe in the wonder, the joy of the night,
Exhale the fuzziness, let worries take flight.
With a heart filled with laughter and eyes softly closed,
Drift off on a journey where magic is posed.

In the land of the slumber, where fears turn to dust,
We find all our dreams, in sleep we can trust.
So curl up, dear child, let your eyelids come down,
As the nighttime embraces you, wrapped in its gown.

Breathe in the starlight, so shimmering bright,
Exhale all the busyness that’s gone with the light.
With whispers of moonbeams that dance on your cheek,
May you drift off peacefully, safe and unique.

Rest now, sweet angel, the world’s quiet and still,
Tomorrow brings laughter, adventures to fill.
But for now, close your eyes, and let dreams take the lead,
With bedtime yoga, let sleep plant its seed.

As the stars wink above, and the night softly hums,
May you find sweet repose, for the day’s done.
So breathe in the calm, let your spirit take flight,
For now, little one, it’s your magical night.
