Seasons Alphabet Activities Using Letter Cards

Activity Overview:

For each season, teachers can create themed letter cards featuring words that are associated with that time of year. For instance, in Autumn, cards might include "leaf," "pumpkin," and "harvest." As children progress through the activities, they will be tasked with matching letters to the corresponding pictures, allowing them to connect the visual elements of the season with their phonetic sounds.

Implementation:

1. Letter Matching: Spread out a selection of seasonal letter cards on a table. Invite children to find and match the letters from the words associated with the season currently being discussed.

2. Sound Sorting: Provide children with a variety of seasonal letter cards and ask them to sort them based on their starting sounds. For instance, they might group words that begin with 'S' for Spring, such as "sun" and "seed."
